For hundreds of years, operas in the standard repertory, regardless of their style (baroque, classical, romantic, impressionistic) were based on some other story or event.<\/p>\n<p>So in honor of that unique aspect of opera (other art forms are also adapted but feature far more original works) this quiz will take a quick look at some of the standard classics of the repertory and ask you a simple question &#8211; what author were they adapted from?<\/p>\n<p>So here is the quiz.
