Victor DeRenzi conducts the two performances of the concert. The showcase includes music from nine operas, including\u00a0 &#8220;I Lombardi alla prima crociata,&#8221; &#8220;Aida,&#8221; &#8220;Rigoletto,&#8221; &#8220;Attila,&#8221; &#8220;La Traviata,&#8221; and &#8220;Don Carlos.&#8221; Performers include Virginia Mims, Rochelle Bard, Jean Carlos Rodriguez, Victor Starsky, and Young Bok Kim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Performance Dates:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Nov. 15 &amp; 17, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Sarasota Youth Opera presents Dean Burry&#8217;s &#8220;The Hobbit.&#8221; The cast includes Isabella Maltese as Bilbo Baggins, Luke Harnish as Gandalf, Giuliana Bordes as Thorin, Finley MacBeth as Elrond, Zane Hancock as Azog, Nikolina Supe as Amarlind, and Ovid Rawlins as Thranduil.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Performance Dates:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Nov. 9 &amp; 10, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For the Winter Opera Festival, the company will kick things off with &#8220;Cavalleria Rusticana&#8221; and &#8220;Pagliacci&#8221; in the classic double bill. The cast includes Lisa Chavez as Santuzza, Rafael D\u00e1vila as Turridu and Canio, and Jean Carlos Rodriguez as Alfio and Tonio. Victor DeRenzi conducts and Martha Collins directs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Performance Dates:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Feb. 15 &#8211; March 29, 2025<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The company will then present two Beaumarchais adaptations. First up is &#8220;The Barber of Seville&#8221; with Lisa Maria Rogali, Filippo Fontana, Minghao Liu, Stefano de Peppo, and Young Bok Kim leading the cast. Marcello Cormio conducts and Marco Nistic\u00f2 directs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Performance Dates:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Feb. 22 &#8211; March 29, 2025<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Then comes its sequel, &#8220;Le Nozze di Figaro.&#8221; Jake Stamatis, Michelle Johnson, Mattia Venni, Tessa Fackelmann, and Brian Kontes star.
