Brooklyn Youth Chorus and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) are joining forces to present “And Sing!” on May 6, 2024.<\/p>\n

The one-night-only conversational concert that aims to celebrate the music of the Black Diaspora, will feature performances by Dav\u00f3ne Tines, who is currently Artist-in-Residence at BAM. This performance will be interactive with a portion dedicated to musical commentary and another to performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe goal of the program is to collapse the distance between the audience, artists, and the art,” Tines said of the intention for “And Sing!”<\/p>\n

Following Tines’ performance at 7 p.m., the Brooklyn Youth Chorus will showcase its year-end gala “Lift Ev’ry Voice” at 8:30 p.m. During this latter event, Tines will be honored during a dinner and award presentation.<\/p>\n
