{"id":87792,"date":"2024-04-26T12:25:09","date_gmt":"2024-04-26T16:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/operawire.com\/?p=87792"},"modified":"2024-04-26T12:25:09","modified_gmt":"2024-04-26T16:25:09","slug":"salzburg-festival-announces-2024-young-artists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/operawire.com\/salzburg-festival-announces-2024-young-artists\/","title":{"rendered":"Salzburg Festival Announces 2024 Young Artists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Salzburg Festival has selected the Young Singers for the 2024 season.<\/p>\n<p>The 16 participants were selected among more than 700 applicants and hail from ten nations: Armenia, Australia, Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Iran, Russia, Turkey, the USA and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n<p>Led this year by Malcolm Martineau, Violeta Urmana, and St\u00e9phane Degout, they said, \u201cThis format of advanced vocal education includes musical coaching, staged rehearsals, language coaching and lied interpretation. The public master classes\u00a0 and the practical relevance of the scholarship make the YSP a unique young artist programme.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Every year, the Young Singers feature in the performances of the children\u2019s opera.
