The Staatsoper Stuttgart’s renovation is set to be more expensive than originally planned.<\/p>\n

According to the SWR<\/a>, the\u00a0planned renovation could cost between 1.5 and 2 billion euros and will have been higher than the original estimate of a billion euros. Additionally, the renovation is expected to be completed in 2044, four years after the planned finish.<\/p>\n

While the new numbers have not yet been officially confirmed, according to a spokeswoman for the city of Stuttgart, discussions on this topic are currently taking place between the institutions involved.<\/p>\n

The members of the responsible committees will be informed of the actual figures by Nov. 18 when they hold a meeting followed by an official press release.<\/p>\n
